Ryo Currency now trading on Crex24
The team is proud of all the amazing development progress that has been released already to open 2019 but we were not satisfied with our exchange situation. The unfortunate Cryptopia hack put us into a undesirable position where TradeOgre & Bisq were the only available platforms for traders and miners. The team was not comfortable with the project being wholly dependent upon TradeOgre as the singular traditional exchange while Cryptopia works through the process of bringing all their markets back online.
To remedy the situation the team began scouring the crypto exchange landscape to find a reasonable partner with realistic trading volume that wasn’t being inflated with fake wash trading. After filling out countless listing applications with tons of exchanges, wading through swaths of scammers, and comparing exchange features we whittled down to a small list of contenders.
At this point we were ready to get serious about converting the necessary portion of the Development Fund into Bitcoin to be able to pay the listing fee. To do so we engaged the shark members of our Business Room to discuss with the list of the potential exchanges with pricing info and features available to gather their feedback. To pool the capital needed for a listing fee we also extended a special offer to the sharks to exchange BTC for RYO from the developer fund. The exchange rate for the sharks was at the lower bound of the existing market spread with the sweetener being that they had the privilege to acquire RYO in volume that wouldn’t have been available on the open market at that price point. The sharks swarmed together and made the contributions needed to gather enough BTC to afford the consensus top option. Crex24 was the exchange selected and with this new listing RYO is now available for trading with EUR, RUB, and USD fiat pairings in addition to the industry standard BTC pair.
